I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
